2017 Topps Update

I just needed to rip a pack so I grabbed one from Walmart while getting some groceries. I think this lone pack made up for the blaster of nothingness I opened a while back. It was loaded with all the hot rookies and a little something special (at the end):

Would have been a nicer card with the RC logo.

So, if it says "ROOKIE" it doesn't need the RC logo?

Apparently Topps has decided to throw a RC out there of everyone from starters to bat boys. Honestly, who the hell are these guys? If they aren't Tigers I just don't know. Guess I'll hold on to them so I have them when they make the show in 5 years.

NOW THE GOOD STUFF!

I was really pissed when I saw the same card back to back in the middle of the pack. Until I saw 1. Jeter on it and 2. The serial number!

RITE AID $4.99 "Jumbo Box" Break

I had to hit the Rite Aid down the road from my house for some essentials. Now, we are a CVS household but 5pm in my neck of the woods takes you 2 hours to move 2 miles in rush hour traffic so Rite Aid was the only option. It worked out though because unlike my local CVS, this store had some cards. These repack boxes are $5ish and boast 1 in 4 contain a "hit." I could see it was loose cards and one pack in side. I am not sure if I would be able to see the hit but that could be why I didn't get one in the box I grabbed. It was a good mix of 80s - modern cards. I would assume someone out there busts a ton of 2011 Topps to find the Trout RCs and tosses everything else at these repack boxes since I always get a handfull of 2011 Topps. There was some nice 1989 Topps Tiffany cards in this box which was cool. Here are the highlights:

The Ichiro was the front card in the box. The Jeter was in there loose.

Parrish and Jefferies Topps Tiffany.

Some Tig's and some semi-vintage.

Apparently somebody's Yankee team set got broken up.

Quick Trip to the LCS; Cody Bellinger and Dansby Swanson

I was finally able to take my brother to my LCS for the first time. We are really putting a hurting on their hobby packs. I pulled that Judge redemption a while back and this time my brother had the luck. I teased him into buying some Heritage telling him that I don't even have a Cody Bellinger card yet. He actually pulled one...a numbered one.

He crushed it with hobby packs. I had only $5 to throw away so I bought from a basket that had old junk packs 7 packs for $5. I got some really good stuff including this Jeter I already had but its a very interesting card.
