Island of Misfit Hits WINNER!

BILLY KINGSLEY YOU ARE GETTING A T-REX CRAP LOAD OF STUFF!

Kind of literally a dinosaur crap load. This included.

First, I want to thank the 12 people who took the time to enter this contest. Dennis, Jon, Billy, Gavin, Julie, Fuji, Josh, all 3 Matt's, Scott, and Ketchupman thank you for visiting my blog and playing along. I hope you all use your TCDB profiles to benefit your collections and add me as a friend.

Sometimes fate takes control of things and the result is absolute perfection. Billy is the guy that turned me on to The Trading Card Database long ago via his blog. He busts his ass on the site keeping it updated, uploading pics and everything else. The stars aligned and got it right as he was shat out the winner. I am very excited for Billy to receive this GIANT box of "stuff" from me. I tried to tailor it to the winner in addition to the stacks of random "stuff" I had awaiting them. Billy, I hope you get a kick out of some of this stuff and maybe something fits into your collection. At least you should have plenty of trade bait for TCDB as this is easily the biggest giveaway prize I have ever handed out.

Scribbled Ink's Island of Misfit Hits Giveaway / Contest / Challenge

I had such an amazing year of collecting and trading in 2018. I want to give back a little. I am so grateful for The Trading Card Database and the awesome traders on the site that this giveaway/contest/challenge is based on getting my readers to at least visit it. It has totally changed my collection since I started uploading on there. So, here are the details for this giveaway/contest/challenge thing to promote more great members to TCDB:

To Enter: Contest is open to anyone (except my brother) who reads this post and comments with their Trading Card Database profile name. If you don't have one, you will need to make one. You can thank me later if you end up taking advantage of what the site offers after creating a login and it blows your mind and enhances your collection tenfold.

Prize and Selection of Winner: I often find myself with strange cards that don't fit into my collection, both sports and non-sports. I have a stack of sports (not just baseball) and non-sport relic, autographed, numbered cards and other collecting related items beyond your wildest dreams for one winner. Winner will be chosen by a method of my choosing to be named later, probably using my 4 year old in some way to pick randomly. Example: Write everyone's name on a nerf dart and film him chasing me while shooting and the first dart to hit is the winner. It won't be that but it will be something similar. If you are pissy about the randomness of something absolutely random; this giveaway/contest/challenge is not for you. BUT, if you are a collector who could use some new and interesting stuff to add; you found the right place.

Hit me up with any questions. I hope this is pretty straight forward: comment with your TCDB name on this post and you are in.

CONTEST ENDED & WINNER CHOSEN

Winner will be announced on this post and in a new post on or before 1/3/2019. Make sure to check back in case I don't have contact info for everybody.

Comments get screened for spam so don't worry if yours doesn't show up right away.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

TTM returns, Lions Signing, Box Breaks, and Hobby Schtuff.

TTM returns are fun because as long as they are out there you never know when they might show back up at your door. Here are two examples of the extremes; CC was sent out YEARS ago and RoFlo returned within 5 days of me sending and both showed up on the same day.

CC caught up on his correspondence and sent back everybody's TTM requests from years past!

MLB Central is my favorite show! Its so perfect it makes me sick thinking it could be changed or dropped ever. Robert made the show way more laid back and fun. Plus...Lauren.

Roar. My brother talked me into hitting a free Lions signing. It was originally supposed to be Ziggy Ansah but he is hurt so Pro Bowl-bound Darius Slay stepped in. The only problem was the store had Ansah stuff ready not Slay but still posted only in-house post cards would be signed. Ultimately, you did need to bring something yourself. We ended up running too late to find anything to take just in case anyway. I bought a Lions Calendar with this pic in it to get signed and my brother bought a ball.

In hobby news, Mark Jackson was all the rage on ebay. I saw this post on a facebook group. Topps sent this guy two of the Topps Living Set art prints that are serial numbered. BUT, he only ordered 1 and got two with the same numbering. Just another example of Topps not even close to having it's shit together.

More shitty Ebay shippers. This card came in a penny sleeve inside a shipping envelope used for adding paper work to a box in a PWE. Just when I think there is not another way I could receive a card shipped poorly. I guess you get what you pay for with a free shipping 25 cent auction win on this photo variation SP.

Card showed up okay and is available.

I had $1.00 burning a hole in my paypal pocket so I entered a 1 box inception team break with the Orioles. I was hoping for one of their many rookies. Got this base Machado instead. I have quite a bit of Machado cards available. I hate the guy so hit me up on here or TCDB (pjdionne12) if you collect Manny.
